Great to meet you!

I’m Andres Ruiz, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. I work with adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is supportive, practical, and collaborative, with a focus on helping you better understand yourself, develop effective coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful changes in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I believe therapy should be a supportive space where you can speak openly, gain a better understanding of yourself, and develop tools that can be applied to everyday life.

I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and attachment-based therapy. Together, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors while identifying practical ways to create change.

I work with adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to help you build greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and lasting skills that support the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and better understand what brings you to therapy. I strive to create a comfortable, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you can speak openly and at your own pace.

We’ll discuss what you’ve been experiencing, what you would like to change, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll identify meaningful goals and begin developing a plan that fits your needs. You can also expect to leave with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and, when appropriate, practical strategies you can begin using right away.
