Great to meet you!

My name is Andrew and I have worked within the mental health field for 10 years. I began my journey as a Registered Behavioral Technician working with children from ages 3 to 18 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I later graduated with a master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College where I learned how to use art as a powerful tool for inner healing. After graduation I utilized art therapy to help First Responders and military in both individual and group settings.

Over the past 4 years I have served all ages and have experience helping individuals navigate Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, and trauma as an Art Therapist and Mental Health Counselor. I am open to working with children, adults, couples and families from all walks of life. Let us work together to help you get to where you want to be.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a collaborative endeavor using both art therapy and talk therapy. I am not here to be your boss and tell you what to do. Think of me as a trail guide as I will walk with you on your journey to provide support, structure, and constructive feedback. I strive to maintain a safe space for clients to not only grow but to build themselves into the person they would like to be.

As an art therapist I love to use art and narrative to help clients explore their traumas, adversities, and inner selves. You do not need to be a "good artist" to engage in art making, you just need to have the courage to challenge your fears.

What you can expect from me

Our initial session will be us getting to know one another, reviewing professional expectations, engaging in intake questions, and establishing your personal wants and needs within a therapeutic setting. Together we will collaborate on setting achievable goals and defining what are your parameters to graduate from therapy.
