Great to meet you!

I’m Andrew Damato, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years experience helping teens, young adults, and families feeling more connected, understood, and empowered.I have worked in a variety of settings including alternative school placements, in-home therapy, and in-patient treatment programns. I specialize in helping clients navigate challenges like stress, anxiety, substance use, athletic performance, emotional regulation, school struggles, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. I bring energy and authenticity into sessions, and I’m not afraid to gently challenge unhelpful thoughts or patterns when it helps you grow. I also believe therapy doesn’t have to be all heavy—humor can be an important tool for connection, perspective, and healing. I draw from cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based strategies to help clients build healthier coping skills, improve relationships, and feel more in control of their emotions.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a safe, judgment-free space where your experiences are valued and your goals guide the process. We’ll start by getting to know each other—what brings you to therapy, what you hope to work on, and what’s most important to you right now. I’ll also share how I work, so you know what to expect moving forward.

My goal is to help you feel understood while also giving you tools you can use outside of session. At times, I’ll bring energy and gentle challenges to help shift unhelpful thought patterns, and I also believe that humor can be a powerful way to break tension and see things from a fresh perspective.

Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply want support in making positive changes, I look forward to walking alongside you in this process.
