Great to meet you!

My name is Andy Davenport. I am an LCSW practicing out of NYS. I received my Master's in Social Work from Binghamton University and have been in practice for 7 years. I specialize in families and youth. The main areas include childhood trauma, parenting strategies, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I have experience also working with substance abuse and am in training for EMDR.

My approach to therapy

My main approach includes a mixture of artistic expression through art or writing, play and movement, and CBT principles. I am also trained in EMDR and will include these elements into my practice as well.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel very connected. I want to know everything about my clients and make them know that I want their success and peace of mind as much as they do. Sessions with me will be very educational for how our brain works, why we behave the way we do, and how trauma affects many aspects of our lives. We will set realistic goals with creative ways to accomplish them.
