Hello! My name is Andrew and I am a laid-back, informal, and nonjudgmental therapist who helps clients identify strengths to overcome challenges. I also works as a professional actor and I try to use my communication skills to build strong therapeutic relationships, promote self-esteem, and encourage creative expression of emotions. I have significant experience helping adolescents and young adults.

The first thing clients should know about sessions with me is that I try to keep things relaxed and comfortable; I just refuse to be the cold, clinical therapist-type. While compassionate and calm, I can also be energetic and fun during sessions. I believe the most important part of therapy is the alliance between therapist and client; if we don’t have a strong connection, sessions aren’t as effective. Once we establish trust, we can explore feelings and challenge unhelpful thought patterns.

My hope is that sessions with me will leave clients feeling supported and understood. I want clients to leave sessions feeling that they have a better understanding of themselves, their situation, and their strengths. In addition to new insights into themselves, I aim to help clients learn new coping strategies and new ways of thinking to help them feel empowered to meet their unique goals.
