Great to meet you!

I'm Andrew Koch, MA, LPC, a counselor, coach, and educator dedicated to supporting family and professional caregivers. I founded Contemplative Caregiver LLC in 2017, drawing on my clinical training at Naropa University and over a decade of hands-on caregiving experience. My practice integrates mindfulness-based, strength-focused therapy to help caregivers navigate stress, burnout, and life transitions. I offer counseling, coaching, workshops, and retreats designed to foster resilience and well-being. Learn more at ContemplativeCaregiver.com.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is mindfulness-based, strength-focused, and deeply attuned to the needs of caregivers and those navigating life transitions. I integrate contemplative practices, narrative exploration, and somatic awareness to help clients process stress, grief, and burnout. My style is collaborative and compassionate, creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I specialize in working with family and professional caregivers, guiding them through the emotional and systemic challenges of caregiving while fostering resilience and self-compassion. Sessions may incorporate nature-based interventions, creative expression, and practical strategies tailored to each client’s unique experience.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and reflective space where they can process their experiences, reduce stress, and build resilience. My goal is to help clients cultivate self-awareness, develop practical coping strategies, and reconnect with their strengths. Sessions will focus on emotional regulation, boundary-setting, and finding meaning in the caregiving journey. Whether through mindfulness, creative expression, or nature-based interventions, clients leave with greater clarity, a sense of empowerment, and tools to navigate challenges with confidence and self-compassion.
