Great to meet you!
I became a psychologist because I believe everyone deserves the skills and support to create a life worth living. My path has combined a deep curiosity about how the mind works with a passion for helping people overcome challenges and thrive. I earned my Psy.D. in Psychology in 1997 and have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as other gold-standard, evidence-based methods.
Over the years, I’ve worked in numerous medical rehabilitation settings, private practice, and as an adjunct professor, giving me a wide-ranging perspective on both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery and growth. I have experience helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and difficulties with emotion regulation.
I specialize in building resilience, reinforcing positive coping skills, and integrating biological, psychological, and social approaches to address concerns from every angle. I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations, and I adapt my approach to meet the unique needs of each person. In our work together, you’ll find me supportive yet straightforward—a partner in your growth who believes in your ability to create meaningful change, one step at a time.
