Great to meet you!

While I have experience working with a great variety of personal difficulties, most of my experience to this point has been in the area of addiction. Whether it be to alcohol, drugs, shopping, gambling, people, or any other number of concerns, I really enjoy helping people tackle their compulsive behaviors and the emotions which underlie them. I hope to help people gain a better understanding of what truly motivates them, and guide them towards their understanding of a life worth living.

My approach to therapy

My background is eclectic, but I primarily draw from CBT, DBT, and ACT to address compulsive behaviors and negative thinking patterns. I take care to implement these naturally, and typically shy away from the worksheet style often elicited by those using those acronyms.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about clarity and comfort. We’ll review what prompted you to reach out, identify the outcomes you’d like to work toward, and discuss any immediate concerns you want to address. I create an environment that’s collaborative, non‐judgmental, and paced to your comfort level. Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and equipped with a direction for our work.
