Great to meet you!

Hi Everyone! My name is Andrew. I specialize in helping children and adults work through PTSD, depression, anger management concerns, trauma, and anxiety. With a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and six years of experience as a mental health counselor, I bring a grounded, flexible approach to care. My background includes home-based work, private practice, inpatient programs, and correctional settings, which allows me to support clients with a wide range of needs and life experiences.

My approach to therapy

You will find that I am calm and even-tempered, but also insightful and willing to push you when necessary. I like to learn about you and understand your values. From there I like to come up with real steps you can take out in the world to start healing and seeing concrete progress. I tend to be solution focused. However, if your case requires more time and exploration, I am ready to take that journey with you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session you can expect a kind of gentle interview about your life and how you got to your current situation. I say 'gentle' because I will not push you to reveal things that are too hard or uncomfortable. Therapy only works when you believe the therapist truly cares about your life. I want to earn that trust not expect it.

You can also expect to hear a little about my background. Please feel free to ask about my experiences.
