Great to meet you!

Andrew is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) dedicated to helping individuals heal from trauma, overcome addiction, and build meaningful, lasting change. He earned his master's degree from Troy University in Tampa, Florida, and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Prior to entering the counseling profession, Andrew served in the United States Army in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military background, along with specialized training in trauma and addiction therapies, allows him to connect with clients through a practical, compassionate, and evidence-based approach that honors each person's unique experiences and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and integrative. I believe that many emotional and relational struggles develop as adaptive responses to life experiences rather than personal weaknesses. My work draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion practices. I tailor treatment to each person's unique needs, helping clients process unresolved experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, cultivate self-compassion, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can heal from the past, reconnect with their strengths, and build a life guided by purpose, resilience, and their deepest values.

Healing begins when we meet ourselves with curiosity instead of judgment, compassion instead of criticism, and connection instead of isolation.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you'll be heard, validated, and treated as the expert on your own life. We'll explore your concerns, identify your goals, and develop a personalized plan for therapy. I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, so we'll move at a pace that feels safe and right for you while using evidence-based approaches to help you build resilience, self-compassion, and lasting change.
