Great to meet you!

Andriea received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Kennesaw State University. Andriea has also completed additional coursework in trauma counseling, Psychological 1st aid for 1st responders, Assessment and Treatment for PTSD, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is the founder of Epiphany Counseling of Atlanta, LLC.

"I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I place utmost importance on getting to know my clients, thus developing therapeutic goals unique to that individual. It is truly a belief and not just a mantra , “people can thrive, not just survive after catastrophic injury, chronic illness and trauma”.

"I've been privileged and honored to co-create and operate The Resiliency Program (A Trauma-Informed Program for Dual-diagnosed, Forensically Involved Women). This program helped to successfully integrate these individuals back into the community, in order to be independent or semi-independent citizens in their own right. The success of this program is indeed a highlight in my career thus far. "

Andriea is a member of:

My approach to therapy

Life is full of challenges; it takes courage to face those challenges head on. If you will allow, I provide a safe comforting space to tackle whatever you are facing. I provide clarity, sometimes direction but always compassion. I'd be honored if you would allow me to accompany you on this journey called life. Take the first step...that's always the hardest.

I love working with those who struggle with depression, anxiety related to a variety of life's challenges: life-changing diagnoses, gender issues, spiritual challenges. Yes, spiritual challenges! Being a 'preacher's kid' (aka PK), I understand the inner-conflict, the war-within, that even seeking out professional help can create. But alas, you need not fear, nor do you have to suffer the pains of this war any longer. Let me help.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be understood, validated, and supported. I am directive and while I support, I do challenge my clients to think differently (if appropriate).
