Great to meet you!

My name is Andy Freedman and I have been a practicing mental health clinician for almost 15 years. I have a background in the creative arts therapies, having lengthy experience in facilitation of music therapy groups. I primarily work as a licensed professional counselor and have worked with a wide variety of clients and presentations.

My approach to therapy

I operate from a trauma-informed and humanistic lens, drawing from approaches such as psychodynamic, internal family systems (IFS), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Every client is different in their needs, and starting from different places. A mentor once told me "the slower you go, the faster you get there" and I find that is my philosophy in work and in life.

What you can expect from me

I look forward to meeting you! In our first session I will give you the opportunity to provide some biographical information so that we can start getting to know each other. As we evaluate the goodness of fit, we can then decide about scheduling a follow up session, where we begin to identify what your goals may be for therapy.
