Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Anequa Blakely (uh-neek-wa)—a Licensed Professional Counselor who blends Adlerian therapy, industrial-organizational psychology, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and clinical mental health counseling to support adults through life’s challenges.

I specialize in helping clients work through depression, anxiety, narcissistic abuse recovery, racial trauma, and job-related stress. I also support individuals with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences in educational and occupational settings.

As a culturally responsive clinician, I’m passionate about supporting women's mental health while providing inclusive, compassionate care for clients of all backgrounds. My diverse training and lived experience allow me to offer therapy that’s both empathetic and effective, helping you heal, grow, and thrive.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I draw on Adlerian and strengths-based methods, integrating behavioral and cognitive tools to help you gain insight and create lasting, real change.

Therapy with me focuses on more than symptom relief—it’s about self-understanding, confidence, and growth. I take time to understand your goals, values, and cultural context, tailoring each session to your unique needs and pace. Together, we’ll focus on progress, not perfection.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed and supportive conversation where we’ll discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your story and help you start building clarity and direction.

By the end of our session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the next steps and what our work together will entail. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and hopeful.

I currently offer telehealth sessions with flexible availability, making it easier for you to begin your healing journey when you’re ready.
