Great to meet you!

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes we find ourselves carrying more than we know how to manage. You don't have to navigate those challenges alone.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience, I am passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, ADHD, women's issues, and major life transitions. I recognize that every person's experiences are unique, and I believe therapy should reflect your individual needs, strengths, and goals.

My style is warm, compassionate, down-to-earth, and honest. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself while also feeling empowered to grow. I offer a balance of genuine understanding, practical guidance, and thoughtful feedback to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with past experiences, or simply ready for something different, I'm here to meet you where you are and support you in moving toward where you want to be.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and change. I believe therapy should be more than just a place to talk. It should also be a space where you gain insight, develop practical tools, and feel empowered to make positive changes in your life.

I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and solution-focused techniques, tailoring our work to your unique experiences and goals. I take a holistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspective, recognizing the connection between your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences.

My therapeutic style combines empathy and encouragement with honest feedback and gentle challenges when needed. I'll listen without judgment, but I'll also help you explore different perspectives, recognize patterns that may be holding you back, and discover healthier ways of navigating challenges.

Together, we'll focus on building self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, establishing healthy boundaries, and creating realistic, meaningful goals. I want you to feel supported throughout the process while also gaining the confidence and tools to move forward.

My goal is to help you not only feel better, but also better understand yourself and feel more equipped to handle whatever life brings your way.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're unsure of what to expect. My goal is to make our first session feel welcoming, comfortable, and conversational. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Just come as you are.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring the challenges you're experiencing. I'll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll also begin identifying your goals and discussing how we can work together to support meaningful change.

You can expect me to be compassionate, approachable, and genuine. I'll listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and offer insights or feedback when appropriate. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, where you are supported, respected, and encouraged to grow.

There is no pressure to share everything at once. We'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you while building a foundation of trust and understanding.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, validated, and encouraged, with a sense of direction and confidence about taking the next steps in your journey.
