Great to meet you!

My role as a psychologist is to help you better understand yourself and, in so doing, equip you with the skills and insight needed to live your life in a way that is rich and meaningful, whatever that looks like to you. Using the collaborative treatment plan LifeMaps, we will work together at a pace that is comfortable while ensuring you reach your goals. I am a Black woman, the daughter of immigrants, and an LGBTQIA+ ally, and all of these identities deeply inform my clinical work.

My approach to therapy

My theoretical approach is integrative though largely psychodynamic. I firmly believe that therapy is most successful when there is a warm, strong, and mutually collaborative alliance. While treatment may involve more than one modality, at its core it will involve acknowledging how your development and internal/external experiences inform your behaviors.

What you can expect from me

Change is hard - plain and simple - and I believe it can only happen in a space where you feel comfortable to show up as your authentic self, safe in the knowledge that I will meet you where you are and hold space for your growth. Seeking help is an enormous step towards realizing the life you want, and I commend your first step in your commitment to growth.
