I’m Dr. Angeanette McCall Nixon, PsyD, LPC, MAC. A clinical neuropsychologist and psychotherapist passionate about understanding the connection between brain function and behavior. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), with extensive experience in behavioral health. I strive to create a welcoming and supportive space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered in their journey toward healing and growth.
With a deep commitment to patient-centered care, I specialize in helping individuals across the lifespan navigate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I work with patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions and cognitive impairments, offering comprehensive evaluations along with practical, compassionate guidance for both patients and their families.
You can expect your first session with me to be a warm, welcoming, and supportive experience. I take the time to get to know you, your concerns, your history, and what brought you in while creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.
During this initial session, I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your cognitive, emotional, and behavioral experiences. This helps me form a comprehensive picture so we can begin identifying your needs and goals. If appropriate, I may also discuss potential evaluation options or treatment approaches tailored to you.
Most importantly, my goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, understood, and supported, with a clearer sense of the next steps in your care.
