Great to meet you!

When your emotions feel difficult to predict, your mind never seems to slow down, or you’re exhausted from trying to keep everything together, it can be hard to know what needs to change first. You may be navigating ADHD, depression, shifts in mood, or challenges in your relationships and family life that leave you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself. Therapy can give you space to understand what is happening and find a healthier way forward. I provide virtual therapy in Illinois and Indiana for individuals and families, with a focus on ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, and family issues. I also support anxiety, anger, panic, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, identity concerns, women’s issues, physical health concerns, and cultural and ethnic issues when they intersect with the challenges that brought you to therapy. With eight years of experience, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and feel more confident navigating emotions, relationships, and everyday life.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful change starts with understanding what is underneath the patterns that keep leaving you frustrated, overwhelmed, or stuck. ADHD, depression, changes in mood, or family difficulties may be what initially brings you to therapy, but those experiences can also affect your confidence, relationships, ability to manage stress, and the way you respond when emotions become intense. Anxiety, anger, trauma, grief, panic, or identity concerns may add another layer to what you are experiencing. Rather than treating each concern as an isolated problem, we’ll explore how they connect and focus on changes that can improve your overall wellbeing. Depending on your needs, I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and change unhelpful patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to strengthen emotional regulation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to develop healthier responses to difficult thoughts and feelings, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused approaches to turn goals into practical steps, and Strength Based or Family Focused approaches when relationships are an important part of our work.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to walk into therapy with a perfect explanation of what’s wrong or a clear plan for how to fix it. That is something we can work through together. During our first few sessions, we’ll explore what has been happening in your life, what feels most difficult right now, and what you would genuinely like to be different. From there, we’ll create realistic goals and identify an approach that fits your needs, strengths, and pace. You can expect me to be open minded, direct, and empowering while providing a space where you can speak honestly without feeling judged. Progress might look like managing emotions more effectively, understanding ADHD or mood patterns with greater clarity, responding differently to anxiety or depression, communicating more openly in relationships, or developing healthier ways to cope when life feels overwhelming. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more grounded in who you are and more confident in your ability to handle what comes next.
