Great to meet you!

I believe healing is possible—even when you've been struggling for years. My approach is grounded in the understanding that symptoms such as addiction, anxiety, trauma responses, or emotional overwhelm are not signs that something is wrong with you; they are adaptations that once helped you survive.

As a Licensed Independent Addictions Counselor & psychotherapist, EMDR Certified therapist, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner with a background in yoga and mindfulness, I help clients heal not only through insight, but by working with the nervous system, the body, and the deeper patterns/memories/beliefs that keep them feeling stuck. My goal is to help you move beyond surviving so you can reconnect with your authentic self and create a life that feels meaningful, connected, and aligned with your values.

My approach to therapy

Are you struggling with addiction or finding yourself relying on alcohol, substances, or other behaviors to cope with emotional pain? Are you already in a recovery program and want to go deeper to address underlying issues? Have past experiences or childhood trauma continued to affect your relationships, self-worth, or ability to feel at peace? Do anxiety, stress, or overwhelming emotions leave you feeling stuck in patterns you want to change?

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we understand the why behind our symptoms—not just how to manage them. Together, we'll explore the experiences that shaped your nervous system, process unresolved trauma, and develop healthier ways to regulate emotions, navigate relationships, and respond to life's challenges.

I integrate EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, and body-based approaches to help you heal at both the emotional and physiological levels. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I believe the more important question is, "What happened to you, and how has your mind and body adapted to survive?"

Recovery is possible. My goal is to help you move beyond coping and toward a life that feels more connected, resilient, and authentic.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but your story, your strengths, and what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. Together, we'll discuss your goals, explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and begin developing a plan that feels safe, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.

You won't be expected to share every detail of your trauma right away. Building trust and creating a sense of safety are essential parts of the healing process.

Depending on your needs, our work may include traditional psychotherapy along with evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, substance abuse counseling, and nervous system regulation. These approaches can help you process unresolved trauma, reduce anxiety and emotional overwhelm, strengthen your capacity to cope with stress, and lessen reliance on self-medicating behaviors by addressing the underlying issues that drive them.

My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction for your healing journey.
