Great to meet you!

Lios’em Chania’vu (Hello)!

My name is Angela Burks and I am a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, born and raised in Arizona. I received my BSW and MSW from Arizona State University and have been in the field of behavioral health since 2014. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and elderly in many types of situations. My currently specialities fall in chronic pain and illness (pain psychology), grief and loss, family dynamics, addiction recovery, neuroscience, and cultural matters. I am currently exploring neurodivergence and how it impacts chronic pain and illness.

My approach to therapy

I possess an eclectic, holistic approach to meet the needs of my clients. Therapy is definitely not a one-size-fits-all experience and I feel the need to be equipped with a bit of everything to best support you.

What you can expect from me

Upon our first interaction, I like to know how your journey brought you to me and why therapy is the next stop on your path. We may have time to create your therapy goals after we get to know one another’s stories.
