Great to meet you!

I’m Angela Cays, MS, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher, Math Tutor, and former high school Math Teacher. I’ve spent decades working towards transforming suffering and empowering others through these vocations for my clients and students as well as personally for myself including attending and facilitating weekly Mindfulness Meditation sessions and yoga classes. I have been committed to deepening my counseling, yoga, and holistic wellness skills through ongoing continuing education as well as consistent practice.

My services include individual therapy for adults and adolescents 14+ dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, grief or loss, spirituality, career, relationships, and complex trauma.

I’m also passionate about facilitating workshops and group experiences / classes that help people explore all layers of their being, awaken their intuition and life force energy, and experience deep moments of peace and expansion.

My approach to therapy

My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping, and other Somatic Practices including Breathwork (Pranayama), Yoga, and Intuitive Movement; Mindfulness Meditation, Buddhist Psychology, and the deeper teachings of Yoga beyond the postures to understand, honor, and liberate all layers of our being as our internal resources as well as the foundation and evolution of our continuing empowerment or wellness journey. I also work with a passion & interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS) which pairs with the mindful and somatic approach of observing the present moment and what part of us is coming forward from the past. Our work of clearing stress and trauma and arriving at our best selves involves realizing that our strengths often (or actually) come from our challenges. The practice is to notice and affirm the strengths while releasing the heaviness and remnants of this stress and trauma.

What you can expect from me

I work to create a safe space with compassion and respect for you to feel held, seen, heard, and supported as we work together to understand and transform your suffering to be able to grow your resilience and felt sense of empowerment.
