My approach to therapy

In my work, I take a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, helping clients build insight while developing practical skills for daily life. I aim to create a grounding, nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore difficult emotions, untold stories, and identity-related experiences. My style balances structured skill-building with depth-oriented processing so clients feel supported, empowered, and understood.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll complete the intake process, which includes reviewing your paperwork, discussing your insurance and session costs, and going over informed consent. I'll ask questions about your history, current concerns, and overall wellbeing so I can understand your experiences and form an initial diagnosis, treatment plan, and goals. While the first session is more structured and information-gathering than a typical therapy session, my approach is laid-back, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental. Clients often tell me that they feel comfortable quickly - I'm open-minded, easygoing, and genuinely interested in people's stories.
