Great to meet you!

With 30 years of experience navigating the complexities of trauma, foster care, and adoption, I deeply understand how our earliest experiences shape our adult lives. However, my expertise is also deeply personal; my own late-in-life ADHD diagnosis taught me the profound relief of finally feeling seen after years of feeling overlooked. Today, I offer a compassionate sanctuary for those carrying the heavy weight of grief, trauma, or a late neurodivergent discovery. We will meet exactly where you are, honoring your past so you can stop "just getting by" and start building an empowered future.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in a simple but profound shift: instead of asking, "What is wrong with you?" we will gently explore, "What happened to you?" Drawing on extensive experience in crisis and trauma work, I provide a compassionate sanctuary for individuals navigating neurodivergence, deep trauma, and significant life shifts. I will meet you exactly where you are, blending this deeply trauma-informed lens with practical tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you transform past challenges into a resilient, empowered future.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about building a safe foundation of trust. I don't expect you to dive into your most personal experiences without first knowing who you are confiding in, so I will always start by sharing a bit about my own background and approach. Our initial focus will be on building rapport and ensuring we are a strong therapeutic fit. We will clearly outline our mutual expectations and discuss how we will collaborate on your treatment plan. I view therapy as a true partnership, and your voice will always be central to your healing journey.
