Hello! My name is Dr. Angela L. Exum. I have 32 years of experience in Education and providing Mental Health Services. I have a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and licensed in Mental Health Counseling. In addition, I am a trained Supreme Court Family Mediator, Certified Active Parent Trainer, Qualified Parent Coordinator as well as a Certified School Counselor, School Administrator, and I am a Nationally Board-Certified School Counselor.
I typically use Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. However, I draw from multiple theoretical techniques which allows me to use the most effective methods to address each client's individual needs.
Clients who work with me (Dr. Exum) can expect to feel safe, supported, and acknowledged. When a client leaves Exum Life, inc., I want them to have learned more about themselves, their actions, and how their actions impact others; and how others actions impact them. They will also take away techniques and coping strategies to help them deal with difficult life issues. As long as clients are 100% honest with themselves and me, they will have reached goals and will continue to grow.
