I have over 10 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse. I received my Master's degree from Chatham University in 2015 and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I am trained in EMDR therapy and focus on the effects of childhood trauma and Narcissistic abuse recovery. I'm also experienced with issues of neurodiversity such as autism spectrum disorder (high functioning/low support needs) and the unique struggles those on the spectrum face.
In my therapy practice, I address the root causes of codependent behaviors and address early childhood experiences in dysfunctional family systems and how these experiences relate to our ineffective behavioral patterns today. My ideal client is one who is willing to self-reflect and do the work to begin the healing process from their traumatic childhood wounds and begin setting healthy boundaries for themselves and developing healthy coping skills.
I believe in helping individuals to achieve mental, emotional, and spiritual balance by utilizing a combination of therapeutic models to assist my clients in their healing journey. This includes EMDR, Mindfulness, CBT, and inner-child work, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am available for virtual sessions.
