Great to meet you!

You may find yourself navigating relationships, identity, or past experiences that have made it difficult to feel fully understood or comfortable being yourself. Perhaps you are working through challenges in your relationships, trying to make sense of your identity, or carrying experiences that continue to affect how you feel and connect with others. I work with adults experiencing LGBTQIA+ concerns, relationship issues, women’s issues, and trauma. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel accepted for who you are and supported in exploring the parts of your life that may feel complicated or difficult to talk about. Together, we can better understand your experiences, strengthen your sense of self, and work toward building healthier relationships and a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, identity, and experiences that have shaped you. We’ll explore how LGBTQIA+ concerns, relationship issues, women’s issues, and trauma may be affecting your emotional wellbeing, sense of self, and connections with others. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and develop healthier ways of responding, Narrative Therapy to explore the stories you have developed about yourself and how your experiences have influenced them, and Attachment Based approaches to help you better understand relationship patterns and build more secure, meaningful connections. Psychodynamic Therapy can help us explore how earlier experiences and relationships may continue to influence your feelings and behaviors today. Our sessions will be collaborative, affirming, and grounded in your lived experience, giving you space to explore difficult emotions, recognize your strengths, and create changes that feel meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what has brought you here, what has been weighing on you, and what you hope will feel different in your life. Together, we will identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You can expect me to listen with warmth, curiosity, and respect while creating a space where you can explore your experiences without fear of judgment. Progress may look like feeling more confident in your identity, developing healthier relationship patterns, establishing boundaries that honor your needs, or processing difficult experiences so they have less influence over your present. We will continue checking in on your goals and adjusting our work as your needs evolve. When you are ready, you can schedule your first session with me through Headway.
