Great to meet you!

My name is Angela Hester, and I welcome you into a supportive and collaborative space. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and more than 10 years of clinical experience working with adults, children, and families. My professional background includes helping individuals and families strengthen stability, improve relationships, navigate life transitions, and work toward reunification and greater family unity. I genuinely enjoy connecting with others and strive to provide a compassionate, respectful, and person-centered environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and stage of healing. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, process difficult experiences, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change.

I also support clients who are experiencing burnout, frustration, emotional exhaustion, or difficulty maintaining balance. Together, we explore patterns that may be contributing to depletion and work toward establishing sustainable routines, healthier boundaries, and restorative rhythms. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their values, relationships, responsibilities, and sense of purpose so they can become more fully engaged in their lives. Throughout the therapeutic process, I provide a compassionate, strengths-based environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they have the opportunity to share their concerns at a pace that feels comfortable. We will discuss what has brought them to therapy, relevant life experiences, current stressors, strengths, and the changes they hope to achieve.

Together, we will begin identifying treatment goals and developing an individualized plan that reflects the client’s needs, values, and stage of readiness. I also use the initial session to establish rapport, clarify expectations, answer questions about the therapeutic process, and identify practical strategies that may provide immediate support. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the work ahead.
