Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Angela Kelly, a licensed mental health clinician with extensive experience treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Throughout my career, I've worked in both outpatient and higher levels of care, helping clients navigate life's challenges while developing practical, sustainable coping skills.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered therapy. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself—whether that means celebrating successes, working through difficult emotions, or simply showing up as you are. I'll gently challenge you when I notice patterns, beliefs, or behaviors that may no longer be serving you, always with honesty, empathy, and your goals in mind. I also believe therapy doesn't have to be serious all the time. While there will certainly be moments of vulnerability and tears, I like to incorporate humor when appropriate because healing can also include laughter, connection, and finding joy along the way.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal during our first session is to help you feel comfortable and get to know the person behind the reason you're seeking therapy. We'll talk about what brought you in, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. We'd identify goals that are meaningful and realistic while exploring the patterns, strengths, and barriers that may be impacting your well-being.
