Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm glad you're here! My name is Angie Koerwitz, and I have been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for 27 years and a School Psychologist for the past 30 years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings and experiences. I am passionate about creating a supportive, therapeutic environment that emphasizes a strengths-based approach, helping individuals recognize their abilities, build resilience, and achieve personal growth both in therapy and in everyday life.

My approach to therapy

I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My practice is built on trust, empathy, respect, and confidentiality, allowing clients to explore challenges openly while feeling emotionally secure. I provide a goal-oriented counseling approach that focuses on a person’s strengths, resources, and future possibilities.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a welcoming, supportive, and comfortable opportunity to begin building a therapeutic relationship. During this session, we will discuss your concerns, personal history, goals for therapy, and any challenges you may be experiencing. It is also a chance for you to ask questions, share what you hope to gain from counseling, and begin identifying your strengths and supports. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward positive change.
