Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I graduated from Whittier College with a BA in Psychology and from Benedictine University with an MS in Clinical Psychology. I work with clients to assist them through a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship obstacles/communication problems, career challenges, and complex PTSD. I also help clients who are survivors of suicide and those healing from loss of any kind.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My counseling style is warm and interactive. My approach to counseling utilizes techniques from Client-Centered therapy (Rogerian), CBT, ACT and DBT and EMDR. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I also believe that each one of us has the tools within ourselves to heal and develop greater self-awareness to live fulfilling and joyful lives. Sometimes, we need a guide to unearth and identify those tools and learn to use them.

What you can expect from our first session

Each session will focus on whatever the client brings in with them, allowing for growth in all areas of life and specific to each moment. We are not stagnant beings. We change daily, sometimes in large ways, oftentimes in very small ways. Therapy is not always comfortable. It is my goal that every client feels seen, heard and supported throughout our time together.
