Great to meet you!

If you're the parent of a teenager who's shut down, acting out, or carrying something heavy you can't quite reach, I understand, and I don't rattle easily. I've spent years working with teens, young adults, and families through trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and the kinds of struggles that make people feel like they're "too much." Trauma work is where my heart is. A lot of therapists steer away from the tougher cases, but those are exactly the kids and young adults I love walking alongside. Whatever your teen is facing, there's a way through it, and we'll find it together.

My approach to therapy

My approach depends on who's in front of me, but it always starts with safety and trust, because real work doesn't happen until someone feels safe. For trauma, I use EMDR and trauma-focused approaches that help the brain actually process what happened instead of just talking around it. I also draw on CBT, family work, and strengths-based tools so teens walk away with skills they can use in real life. I bring parents into the process too, because the biggest changes tend to happen at home, not just in our sessions.

What you can expect from me

The first session is low pressure. It's mostly about getting to know each other and understanding what's been going on, with no push for you or your teen to share more than you're ready to. We'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will be different. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of how we'll work together and what the next step looks like.
