Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Dr. Angela Noe, but you can call me Angie. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anger and emotion dysregulation difficulties, communication skill development, the development of coping skills to help with adjusting to life stressors, and psychological testing.

Therapy clients tend to describe me as down to earth, nonjudgmental, direct, and never boring. I'm also the type of therapist who doesn't mind cursing, and I make frequent references to memes. My therapy dog Diamond will make an appearance during sessions, too :)

For those interested in psychological testing in FL, especially ADHD testing, please schedule an intake appointment through here; after the intake is complete, we can move forward with the evaluation (testing services covered by aetna, avmed, cigna, magellan, oscar, optum, uhc, and self-pay at this time).

My approach to therapy

I typically describe my therapeutic orientation as eclectic because I rely on skills from many different therapy styles to address all of your needs. For example, I may incorporate CBT techniques without taking a strictly CBT approach. As for my interpersonal style, I tend to come across as insightful & intuitive, with strong pattern recognition. As such, I will notice when something seems off, and I will ask about the change. I am also direct and I will call things out as they arise, but in a playful way that makes it easy to hear.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect: I will ask you what brings you to me today, after which we will work together to figure out what is going on and how to best address it. We will then structure future sessions in a way that addresses your desired target, but also keeping in mind that changes can come up that may need to be a priority during the session. Homework tends to be oriented around skill building and to promote insight development. Lastly, my interpersonal style is often described as jovial and engaging, and I bring this energy to the therapy dynamic; this energy can be contagious with some clients, affecting mood and stress levels during and after the session.
