Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Angela, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 6 years of experience providing psychiatric care to adolescents, adults, and older adults throughout California.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling to stay focused because of ADHD, experiencing persistent sadness or low motivation, or dealing with mood changes that are affecting your everyday life, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I take time to understand what you are experiencing, how your symptoms are affecting your daily life, and what you hope to accomplish through treatment. I believe psychiatric care works best when you feel heard, respected, informed, and actively involved in your treatment decisions.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, and when appropriate, individual therapy and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that fits your needs, preferences, and goals.

My approach to therapy

I believe treatment should address the whole person—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

During our sessions, we will explore your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, medications, sleep, stressors, lifestyle, and treatment goals. We will then discuss appropriate treatment options and develop a plan together.

When medication is recommended, I will explain the potential benefits, risks, side effects, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions about your care. I also recognize that finding the right medication or treatment approach can take time, and I will work with you to monitor your progress and make adjustments when clinically appropriate.

My goal is to help you feel more stable, function more effectively, and develop a treatment plan that supports your long-term mental wellness.

Conditions I commonly treat

I commonly provide evaluation and treatment for:

• Anxiety and excessive worry • ADD/ADHD • Depression • Bipolar disorder • Panic disorder and panic attacks • OCD • PTSD and trauma-related concerns • Sleep difficulties • Stress and emotional concerns • Grief and loss • Anger management • Maternal mental health concerns

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to help me understand you as a whole person.

We will discuss what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, previous mental health treatment, medications, medical history, sleep, stressors, and personal goals.

You will have an opportunity to ask questions and share any concerns about treatment. If medication is appropriate, we will discuss available options and create a plan together. If therapy or additional support would be beneficial, we can also discuss appropriate recommendations.

My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and clear about the next steps in your care.
