Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate difficult life experiences, transitions, trauma, stress, anxiety, relationship and family concerns, and other emotional challenges.

I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard. My style is warm, compassionate, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental. I recognize that reaching out for therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable or even overwhelming, and I strive to create a space where you can simply be yourself. I see therapy as a partnership—we will work together to identify what is important to you and what you would like to change, strengthen, or better understand in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and individualized to each person. I don't believe there is one approach that works for everyone. Instead, I take time to understand you as a whole person, your experiences, relationships, strengths, challenges, and the circumstances that have shaped your life.

Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, and develop strategies that can help you manage difficult emotions and situations more effectively. I believe people often have more strengths and resilience than they recognize, and part of my role is helping you discover and build upon those strengths.

My goal is not simply to help you get through a difficult moment, but to help you develop greater insight, confidence, and skills that you can continue using long after therapy ends.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I will ask about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. We may also talk about important relationships, past experiences, current stressors, and the strengths and supports you already have in your life.

You don't have to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We will start wherever you are most comfortable. I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of how we can move forward together.

Most importantly, therapy is your space. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while working toward goals that are meaningful and realistic for your life.
