Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Angelica Taber, a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s Degree from National University. I support children, adolescents, young adults, and families with emotional and behavioral challenges, communication, coping skills, and relationships. My experience also includes developmental challenges, school concerns, transitions to adulthood, and daily living skills.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and develop practical strategies that support your goals and greater independence.

My approach to therapy

I create a supportive space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their experiences, exploring challenges, and working toward meaningful goals. I tailor sessions to each client’s age, needs, and interests, using conversation, engaging activities, and practical skill-building.

I focus on helping children, adolescents, young adults, and families strengthen emotional regulation, communication, coping skills, and relationships. For clients with developmental challenges, I also support school-related concerns, transitions to adulthood, and daily living skills that encourage greater independence. Together, we build on existing strengths and develop strategies clients can use in everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a warm, supportive environment. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your strengths, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can share at a pace that feels comfortable, and there will be space to ask questions.

When working with children and adolescents, I use age-appropriate conversation and activities to help them feel at ease and involve parents or caregivers as appropriate. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and next steps that reflect your needs, whether that means building coping skills, improving communication, or navigating life transitions.
