Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving clients throughout California through telehealth and in-person appointments. My practice focuses on OCD, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and body image concerns.

My background began in eating disorders, where I developed a deep curiosity about how the brain influences the way we think, feel, and function. As I gained experience working with individuals, I realized I wanted to take a more hands-on role in helping people improve their lives, which led me to pursue clinical work. Through years of working with the eating disorder population, I have developed extensive experience treating eating disorders and the anxiety and other concerns that often accompany them.

Because OCD and anxiety frequently co-occur with eating disorders, my clinical work naturally led me to develop a strong interest in treating these concerns as well. I have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based treatment for OCD, and enjoy helping clients gain freedom from the thoughts, fears, and compulsions that can take up so much of their lives. I also work with a broad range of anxiety-based disorders, whether or not they occur alongside an eating disorder or OCD.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I don’t believe therapy should feel like someone sitting across from you telling you what you should do. Instead, I see it as a partnership where we work together to understand what’s happening, identify what may be keeping you stuck, and find ways to create meaningful change.

I also believe that effective therapy can be both challenging and enjoyable. I bring a sense of humor and playfulness into my work when it feels appropriate, because sometimes being able to laugh, find a different perspective, or simply feel comfortable with your therapist can make difficult conversations a little easier.

My research background also shapes how I practice. I’m fascinated by the brain and by how our thoughts and behaviors can influence the way we experience the world. At the same time, I know that understanding something intellectually doesn’t always make changing it easy. My role is to help you bridge that gap—to turn insight into practical steps and help you recognize that your mind is more flexible and capable of change than it may sometimes feel.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin figuring out what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get from it. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, how it’s affecting your life, and what you’d like to be different.

You can also expect plenty of space for questions. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and you don’t need to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and understand what working together will look like.

Most importantly, I want the first session to feel like the beginning of a conversation rather than an interview or a test. We’ll start where you are, at your pace, and work together to develop a plan that feels supportive and realistic for you.
