I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University and immediately started working in the psychiatric field. While attending Graduate School, I worked as a staff nurse at the Department of Veteran Affairs. I've also worked on a psychiatric crisis unit with the Department of corrections.
My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for clients. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.
Clients can expect their initial telehealth visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. I am also comfortable working collaboratively and coordinating care with other clinicians when needed. My approach is to address the unique needs of each individual.
