Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Angelynn, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing online therapy to adults throughout Massachusetts. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are accustomed to being strong for others but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck when they finally have space to focus on themselves.

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. I combine meaningful reflection with practical tools for coping, emotional regulation, boundaries, and communication, drawing from evidence-based, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches according to your needs.

I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, including members of Black, Brown, Caribbean, and immigrant communities. Christian faith can also be integrated into therapy when desired. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to the life you want to build.

My approach to therapy

I support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship patterns, and major life transitions. Together, we explore the experiences, beliefs, and protective patterns that may be influencing how you feel, relate to others, and respond to stress. From there, we identify practical ways to help you regulate emotions, strengthen your voice and boundaries, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My style is warm, honest, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I believe therapy can hold both compassion and accountability, a space where you do not have to minimize what you have experienced, but can also recognize your strengths and practice new ways of responding. You are welcome to show up as you are, even if you are unsure where to begin.

Approaches I may draw from include:

  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Strength-Based Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
  • Christian Counseling, when requested

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to slow down and begin understanding what has been happening in your life. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, what feels most important right now, and what you hope will be different. I’ll also begin learning about your history, strengths, relationships, culture, support system, and the coping strategies you already use. You do not need to tell your entire story or have everything figured out during our first meeting.

I’ll explain how I work, answer your questions, and collaborate with you on initial goals. If you arrive feeling overwhelmed, we may begin with a grounding or emotional regulation exercise before going deeper. My priority is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and not rushed, with a clearer sense of how we might move forward together.

As our work continues, sessions may include understanding emotional and relationship patterns, identifying triggers, strengthening boundaries, reframing unhelpful beliefs, and practicing coping and regulation skills. Christian faith can also be integrated when requested. Sessions are collaborative and paced according to your needs.
