Great to meet you!

Hello there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and the owner of Thrive + Shine, LLC. I have been working in the mental health field for thirteen years and have experience working in community mental health, urban education as a school counselor, crisis management, and outpatient therapy. I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and also hold a certification in School Counseling. I have advanced certifications in Family Systems and Structural Family Therapy, ADHD, and Traumatic Grief. I am passionate about creating a safe space for people to unpack their story and identify what mindsets are no longer serving them well.

My approach to therapy

Angie brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that integrates proven therapeutic practices with the truth and encouragement of God’s Word. She provides a safe, sacred space where you can explore your story, heal, and grow with grace and courage. With a lighthearted spirit, she uses humor to build connection while guiding you through reflection, self-compassion, and practical next steps. Angie celebrates every win and is passionate about helping you live fully and boldly in your God-given purpose.

What you can expect from me

I understand that seeking therapy is a courageous step. It is my privilege to be a part of your journey. I am committed to creating a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my work as a therapist. During our first session together, we will work on identifying your goals and expectations. This initial intake appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have. We will also discuss boundaries, confidentiality, and how we can work together to ensure you feel comfortable and respected. We will discuss why you are seeking therapy--why now, what you'd like help with, and what goals you have. This will help us build a strong foundation for our work together.
