Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Angie (she/ella), a Latiné, queer, and neurodivergent Marriage & Family Therapist who believes healing is a communal and culturally rooted journey. As a Colombian immigrant, I’m passionate about supporting people who navigate identity, belonging, and systemic barriers. I work from a warm, direct, and empowering approach, especially with young and middle ago adults, BIPOC communities, and LGBTQ+ clients. I love helping people reconnect with their stories, explore their needs, and build self‐acceptance.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients in a warm, direct, and trauma‐informed way, focusing on your unique story and the systems you move through. Much of my background is in supporting adults navigating PTSD, depression, anxiety, family dynamics, and the impacts of institutional racism. I use DBT, EMDR, and narrative therapy to help you build skills, process trauma, and reconnect with your voice. I also support couples working through challenges related to bicultural identity, race, life transitions, parenting, and non‐monogamy or polyamory. My goal is to bring both gentleness and clarity—helping you understand your needs, honor your lived experiences, and prioritize what truly matters for your healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are. We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you in, what you’re hoping for, and what has shaped your story so far. I’ll ask gentle, grounding questions to understand your needs, your identities, and the systems you move through, and together we’ll start identifying goals that feel realistic and supportive. My approach is warm, direct, and trauma‐informed—centered on safety, curiosity, and honoring your lived experience. By the end of the session, my hope is that you feel seen, understood, and clear on what our work together might look like moving forward.
