Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I manage and treat a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, impulse control disorders, and more. As a DNP-PMHNP, my role is multifaceted, including providing quality care, building and maintaining therapeutic relationships, educating, advocating, counseling, referring, and managing medication.

My approach to therapy

I take a whole-person approach to psychiatric care—recognizing that your mental health is deeply connected to your physical, emotional, and social well-being. My goal is not just to treat symptoms, but to understand you as a complete individual with a unique story, values, and life circumstances.

Drawing from many years of experience working in psychiatry, along with doctoral-level training at Rush University’s Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program, I bring both clinical expertise and heartfelt dedication to every patient interaction. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge to empower others—so they can live healthier, more fulfilling lives both mentally and physically.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I do not believe in forcing treatment or pushing medications. Instead, I offer education and guidance so that you can make informed decisions about your care. At every step, I will support you in creating a care plan that aligns not only with best clinical practices, but also with your personal goals, preferences, and values.

Ultimately, you are the expert on your life—and you are in control of your care plan. My role is to walk alongside you, offering insight, support, and scientifically informed options that help you move toward stability, healing, and long-term wellness.

What you can expect from me

I’ll be asking many questions during our assessment—this helps us gather as much information as possible so we can understand what you're going through and work together toward solutions. The more I know about your experiences and challenges, the more helpful I can be.

Please feel free to share openly—even if it's something you’ve never told anyone before. I’m here to help, not to judge.

I won’t force any treatment or medication on you. My role is to educate you about your options so you can make informed decisions.

You are in control of your care plan. I’ll support you in making choices that align with your needs and values, while also ensuring they are grounded in scientific research and evidence-based practice.
