Dr. Anhthony Nguyen

Hello, my name is Dr. Anhthony Nguyen. I am a licensed psychologist that provides therapy in Texas and Florida. I received my doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University. I specialize in Behavioral Pediatrics and typically treat children (age 2-17) who struggle with noncompliance, ADHD, bedtime issues, habits/tics, homework and organizational problems, picky eating and mealtime concerns, school bullying, lying, encopresis, and enuresis.

My style and approach to therapy is called behavioral parent training or parent coaching. I frequently work more with the parent(s) than the child in order to teach them the skills and techniques to use on their kids at home. This empowers the parent to be the agent of change. This type of therapy is more effective and efficient in showing improvements in the child over traditional talk therapy.

I like to create a collaborative and fun environment where the parent will learn evidence-based techniques and unique solutions to everyday childhood problems.
