Great to meet you!

Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and I believe healing begins with a trusting, collaborative relationship. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a doctoral candidate in Behavioral Health at Arizona State University. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have experience providing evidence-based care to adolescents and adults in outpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) settings.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use, co-occurring mental health and addiction concerns, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and emotional regulation difficulties. My experience includes individual, family, and group therapy, comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, relapse prevention, and collaborating with healthcare providers and community partners to ensure coordinated care.

My approach is individualized, compassionate, and strengths-based. I utilize evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Together, we'll identify barriers, build practical coping skills, and work toward goals that support lasting wellness.

My doctoral training focuses on integrated behavioral health and the connection between mental and physical health. Whether you're navigating life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, or working toward recovery, I am committed to helping you build resilience, confidence, and a life aligned with your values.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, collaboration, and authenticity. My approach is compassionate, supportive, and goal-oriented, creating a space where you feel safe to be yourself while also feeling challenged to grow. I strive to meet you where you are, recognizing that every person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique.

I use an integrative, evidence-based approach to treatment, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills that support lasting change.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, co-occurring mental health and addiction concerns, life transitions, stress, and emotional regulation difficulties. I also have experience helping clients strengthen relationships, improve self-esteem, prevent relapse, and navigate major life changes.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance, evidence-based tools, and a supportive environment where you can gain insight, overcome obstacles, and move toward the life you want to live. My goal is not only to help you feel better but to help you build the confidence and resilience to continue thriving long after therapy ends.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. My priority is creating a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. There is no expectation to have everything figured out; we'll take things one step at a time.

During our first session, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your personal history, current concerns, strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and what to expect from therapy.

Together, we'll identify your priorities, develop an initial treatment plan, and begin exploring practical strategies that can help you move toward your goals. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, my goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clear direction for the work we'll do together.
