Great to meet you!

I’m a Georgia-licensed psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a Georgia Certified Addiction Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) with decades of experience in substance abuse recovery and emotional wellness. I’ve been working in the field since 1990, and my approach is deeply informed by both professional training and lived experience.

I believe healing happens when we understand the interplay between the brain, body, and behavior — especially when it comes to addiction, food-related challenges, and emotional regulation. In our work together, I help you learn about how addiction affects brain chemistry, identify triggers, build healthy coping skills, and create a balanced life that supports your goals. I integrate evidence-based strategies — including talk therapy, trauma resolution, and cognitive-behavioral techniques — with compassion and practical education tailored to your needs. I offer virtual sessions, including evening and weekend options when needed.

My approach to therapy

I work best with adults who are ready to take meaningful steps toward recovery, healing, and personal growth. You may be coping with substance use issues, food addiction or eating patterns that feel out of control, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions that feel overwhelming. Whether you’re seeking support with relapse prevention, emotional regulation, or understanding the deeper roots of behavior, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what’s happening and learn tools that genuinely help.

What you can expect from me

You don’t have to have all the answers when you start; I’m here to support you in discovering them with patience, insight, and respect.
