Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Dr. Anita Payan. I am a Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. I have trained in a variety of settings and I specialize in working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and parents in the assessment and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and adjustment related issues such as grief and loss. I also work with women in the treatment of perinatal distress and loss.

A bit about my approach to therapy

A backbone of my practice is cognitive behavioral in nature, where I work with clients to increase their emotional awareness and identify better ways of thinking and behaving to become more effective in everyday life. I also integrate mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral techniques into my practice.

What you can expect from our first session

Expect a client-centered approach to treatment. I meet you where you are at. Together, we will collaborate and build a treatment plan tailored to helping you improve your functioning in daily life.
