Great to meet you!

I'm curious about human behavior, both current and past - in college I studied ancient history, fascinated by similarities across cultures and time. My curiosity about people and desire to help others drew me to social work, where I could continue learning and developing therapeutic skills. I love hearing people's narratives, their pasts, their family's pasts, and where they'd like to go in life. It is a privilege to walk alongside people.

My approach to therapy

I take an eclectic and trauma-informed approach to therapy, pulling from DBT, CBT, relational, and psychodynamic theoretical lenses. I have extensive experience in trauma-informed approaches, as well as a specialization in exposure and response prevention (for anxiety, panic and phobias, OCD).

What you can expect from me

We start with an initial consult video, to start to see if we might be a good fit for each other. The first session is an intake where I'll ask questions, about what's going on currently but also about your past, family history, childhood, social and community factors. We'll set treatment goals together, determining what modality of therapy might be best. I work virtually only at the moment, as long as video can be effective we may be a good fit! Younger children would likely be better served by in person appointments.
