Great to meet you!

I believe in therapy as vital, sacred work, and I know that it creates change from the inside out. I offer you connection, healing, and purposeful growth. I partner with my clients and move them toward empowerment. I walk with you, bearing witness to your pain, and helping you so that you may make choices about how to address the things that life has thrown at you. The goal is to move forward positively into a meaningful, more satisfying life. I have done this hard work myself, as I believe all good clinicians should do, and I can attest to the life changes that can occur from this focused relationship. I am a proud Army brat and Air Force (retired) wife who can work with military connected families. I have real life experience in adoption, grief and loss, and relationship issues. While I am a cisgendered middle aged white woman, I am a strong ally to our BiPOC, LGBTQIA, and immigrant communities. I am also familiar with BDSM, kink, and CNM practices and open to those who have these elements in their lives. I want you to know you are safe here.

My approach to therapy

Sometimes we need an ally from the outside to provide a different perspective, and to be a soft, safe, place to land, in order to get ourselves moving again. If you are looking for a powerful, non-pathologizing way to understand, organize, and heal the human struggle, I am here to listen and help you on your journey of transformation. How do we do this? By building a partnership and working together through a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), elements of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, and insight oriented therapy.

What you can expect from me

In your first session the floor is yours! I want to hear about your successes and challenges. I want to know what your goals and desires are. I want you to leave with a tangible action designed to get you moving in the direction you are embracing and I mostly want you to feel hope and connection. I enjoy other humans and look forward to spending time with you.
