Great to meet you!

I have over a decade of clinical experience and enjoy working with teens and adults in helping them build skills to regulate their emotions, and face the challenges they're navigating in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I'm trained to use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to assist individuals in reaching their goals. However, I have specialized training in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) through Behavioral Tech, using Marsha Linehan curriculum. I am also well versed in Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a 60-75 minute Intake Assessment, where I'll be asking you lots of questions about your background, mental health history, family history etc. I realize this can be intimidating for for those who have never sought mental health treatment, however I try to make it as "painless" as possible with simple, direct questions. I also mix in some humor from time to time...because I hope by the end of it you'll feel more like we're just having a conversation instead of an assessment.
