Great to meet you!

My name is Ann Champney, LCSW, and I am a therapist at Nassau Guidance and Counseling, a private psychotherapy practice with over 35 locations throughout Long Island, NY. All of our offices are safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environments where individuals, couples, and families--adults, teens, and children--learn to lead happier, healthier, and more peaceful lives.

My approach to therapy

We specialize in matching our clients with our most appropriate therapists based on their needs and preferences, and our therapists’ experience, training, and style. The majority of our therapists have a minimum of 10 years post-license experience. Since 1960, we have helped thousands of Long Island residents with life’s up and downs using the best of traditional psychotherapy as well as new and emerging approaches.

What you can expect from me

We help you grow and change, and we never take a one-size-fits-all-approach. Our therapists share a deep appreciation and respect for our clients' desires to recover and develop and are committed to helping them reach their highest potential: emotionally, mentally, inter-personally, occupationally, spiritually, and socially. We want to be your guide on a healing journey of discovery and self-fulfillment.
