Great to meet you!

I'm a nurse with more than 30 years of experience in medical and psychiatric care, and I've spent my career supporting people through mental illness, addiction, and the health challenges that often come with them. My work has taken me through the VA hospital, The Meadows, Remuda Ranch Treatment Center for anorexia and bulimia, and Banner Health, and I've cared for people at every stage of life, from adolescents to older adults.

What I've learned across those settings is that people do best when they feel genuinely seen. I've worked with a wide range of populations and alongside many multidisciplinary teams, and I bring that collaborative instinct into my work with clients. You can expect professionalism, respectful communication, and steadiness from me, especially when the subject matter is difficult.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic approach that considers body, mind, and spirit together. Mental health rarely exists in isolation from physical health, sleep, relationships, or a person's sense of meaning, so I look at the whole picture rather than a single symptom.

My role is less about handing you a plan and more about helping you find the openings where change is possible, then walking alongside you as you work toward them. Treatment is individualized, because what supports one person's recovery may not fit another's. I've found that the most durable progress comes when a client has real ownership of their goals, so I'll offer my clinical perspective while leaving the direction in your hands.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know you. I'll ask about your current concerns, your history, your physical health, and what has and hasn't helped in the past, but there's no pressure to share more than you're ready to share.

I'll also want to hear what you're hoping for. Some people arrive with a specific goal; others just know something needs to change. Both are fine starting points. By the end, we'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit and a working idea of where to begin. You should leave feeling heard rather than assessed.
