“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” – bell hooks The healing journey can be a hard road, and you don’t have to travel it alone. My role as a therapist is to walk beside you on your path. My goal is to create a safe, accepting space where you can explore your inner landscape and develop skills to navigate your outer world. I am a trauma-informed, intersectional feminist who helps clients reclaim their power and reconnect to their voice.
I use talk therapy, EMDR, and trauma-informed mindfulness practices to support my clients. My priority is always to meet my clients where they are, with respect and acceptance.
I am focused on creating a safe environment for my clients to explore where they are, where they've been, and where they want to go. What we work on in session is up to you; some weeks, you might need to process through talk therapy, EMDR, or expressive writing, while other weeks you might want to work on developing new skills or learning trauma-informed mindfulness techniques. You are always in charge of your healing process.
